Despite having had less than 10 sessions with Benn over about 6 months I’ve seen a huge difference in my voice. I can confidently say he’s taught me how to use my voice the way it’s designed to be used and I’ve never heard such power/volume from myself with such ease. I will continue to have lessons with Benn and I’m excited to see how much progress I’m yet to make!

I came to Benn because I'd never learnt how to sing and I would quickly lose my voice when singing. I really appreciate that Benn takes a scientific, physiological approach. He talks about the muscles you're using (and the ones you shouldn't be using) and how they actually work, which is exactly what I was looking for. He's also welcoming and friendly, so my nerves disappeared quickly, and I enjoy the sessions! I can feel myself making progress towards singing without the strain and tension I had before.

I’ve had six lessons so far with Benn and the progress has been incredible. Benn’s teaching style is the perfect balance of expert technique and relaxed, friendly guidance. You can tell straight away that he’s trained at a high level and understands the voice inside and out. Benn breaks things down in a way that makes sense, and every session feels structured, purposeful, and tailored to exactly what my voice needs. What really stands out is the atmosphere Benn creates. It’s supportive, encouraging, and genuinely enjoyable, which makes it easy to push yourself without feeling pressured. The improvements I’ve seen in just six lessons have been huge, better control, better tone, and far more confidence. I’d recommend Benn to anyone who wants to develop their voice properly and sustainably.

Benn's been coaching me for a couple months now and I'm really pleased with the progress we've made. I've come from a background in hardcore punk/metal style vocals. Benn is absolutely wicked! I've had just over a month of coaching with him and already my pitching, control and breathing is much better. He's great at explaining the science of the Larynx and vocal folds etc. So you've got great insight and better control on your voice. You can tell music is a passion of his and he wants to make sure he gets the best out of you with how informative he is. Benn really knows what he’s doing and teaches based on vocal anatomy rather than vague popular concepts. Definitely would recommend for anyone looking to develop a long standing good vocal technique.

At 54, I decided to try something completely new and booked singing lessons. Apart from the occasional solo performance in the car, I’d never really sung before, but Benn made it surprisingly comfortable from the start. He has a way of helping you relax and really focus on how you're producing sound. It’s not what I expected at all. I’m learning to use my voice properly for the first time, and enjoying it. It pushed me out of my comfort zone but not nearly as much as I thought it might. It’s challenging in the best way, without ever feeling overwhelming. If you're thinking of giving it a go, do it! Benn makes the journey enjoyable, rewarding, and much less scary than you'd imagine.

Ben is a terrific coach and although I only had one session with him he gave me an insight into what it 'really' takes to sing properly!! However, as I really only wanted to 'see' if I could still sing, it was too intense for me. I wish him all the best and would recommend anybody who wants a really professional coach to choose him. (But be prepared to work!!)

Benn teaches from a purely anatomical and scientific approach, in other words he works with how your voice was biologically designed. It is not easy, not by a long shot, but it is the only way to go if you want to unlock the full potential of your voice. I live in the US and I look forward to my weekly lessons, Benn is a great teacher and has an uncanny ear for finding your vocal roadblocks and guiding you through them to where you'd like to be as a singer. I wouldn't bother with another coach, you'd just be reinforcing poor form.

I was super nervous and felt really embarrassed when I first met Ben, as a non singer and someone who suffers easily with feeling awkward being on show,he made me feel comfortable and at ease, his teaching is very direct and honest but he clearly knows his stuff and I feel much better about the lessons each time I go, for anyone who wants to build confidence I would highly recommend.

I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to receive professional vocal training from Benn. We meet every week and I've got nothing but positive things to say about Benn's coaching style, deep understanding of his craft and his incredible ability to hear every single nuance of my voice when he's training me online in Pembrokeshire, from his home in Cardiff. He really doesn't miss a trick and he really does know his stuff! As lead singer of a 6 piece pop/rock covers band performing up to 35 songs at a gig is not uncommon so I reached out to Benn for help to undo a lifetime of bad habits which was causing me to have pregig performance anxiety. We've been working together since March 2024 and the difference its made already is huge, my confidence has increased which has eliminated my pregig nerves completely and even members of my band have noticed the improvement in my singing which makes me so happy, thank you Benn! Started vocal sessions with Benn a few months ago to help strengthen and improve my singing with back to back gigs. Ben is an excellent teacher. He has years of experience which becomes obvious the more your lessons progress. He demonstrates a great knowledge and understanding of how to remedy the many problems singers can develop with bad technique and he’s especially good at describing the many sensations and techniques to use for improvement. From the first session, he was able to explain without nonsense exactly how to produce the sounds that we were looking for. He is great at guiding step by step through what turns out to be a very complicated vocal system. In just a few weeks, I already have significantly more control over my voice, I wish I had started sooner :D!!
